Government in office with a series of appointments in agencies and other decisions – details

The acting Government of the Republic of Kosovo held its 260th meeting today.
The OPM announced that in this meeting the government has:
– Appointed Ms. Fikrije Zymberi to the position of Executive Director at the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education;
– Appointed Ms. Besa Bytyqi – Baraliu to the position of General Director of the Education Inspectorate;
– Appointed Ms. Sebahate Bushrani Ibraimi to the position of Executive Director at the Kosovo Meteorological Agency;
– Appointed the Ad hoc Committee for Professional Assessment for Admission to the Senior Management Category Position: Executive Director at the Central Procurement Agency;
– Appointed the Ad hoc Committee for Professional Assessment for Admission to the Senior Management Category Position: Executive Director in the Treasury of Kosovo;
– Allocated 20,721 euros to cover the annual contribution of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to the Regional Center of the Regional Initiative for Migration, Asylum and Refugees (MARRI);
– Appointed the Citizenship Appeals Commission. This commission will function as an independent administrative body to review appeals against citizenship decisions, ensuring a fair and transparent process. The aim is to strengthen the protection of citizens’ rights and improve administrative procedures in this area;
– Approved the preliminary decision for the expropriation in the public interest of immovable properties affected by the implementation of the project Closure of the Current Landfill and the implementation of the New Sanitary Landfill in Peja, Lutogllavë Cadastral Zone, Municipality of Peja;
– Appointed Mr. Labinot Zeqiri to the position of Chief Inspector of the Central Health Inspectorate;
– Supplemented and amended the Tables from paragraph 2 of Article 10 of Law No. 02/L-128 on Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Precursors, based on the mechanisms for replacement and supplementation defined by the International Conventions on Narcotics Control;
– Reallocated 4.5 million euros to the Ministry of Local Government Administration from the capital project “Co-financing with donors for the municipal performance-based grant scheme” to 25 capital projects in accordance with the 25 memorandums of understanding for capital projects signed by the Minister of MLGA and the Mayors of Municipalities and donors;
– Approved the revised Action Plan 2025-2026 for the implementation of the Local Self-Government Strategy 2016-2026. Through this action plan, it is aimed to increase local autonomy and provide cost-effective services in municipalities.
