Kosovo Police represents Pristina at the 45th European Capitals Police Conference in Madrid

The 45th European Capitals Police Conference has begun in the Spanish capital, Madrid, with a delegation from the Kosovo Police also participating.
Kosovo is being represented at this international event by Lieutenant Colonel Basri Shabani, Director of the Pristina Regional Police Directorate, and Major Bekim Bislimi, Director of the Capital City Directorate.
The conference began on May 27 and will conclude tomorrow, with the adoption of a joint declaration by the participating states, which will summarize the main points emerging from the discussions and the topics addressed.
Among the main topics being discussed at this international forum are:
Handling cases of domestic and gender-based violence,
Cybersecurity,
Road traffic safety in capital cities.
The purpose of the conference is to exchange experiences between police forces of European capitals and identify efficient methods for better coordination, increasing the quality of cooperation, and improving joint efforts in preventing negative phenomena.
The next conference of this format will be held in 2026, in Helsinki, Finland.
