What bizarre behaviour. It’s as if this person thought they existed in a vacuum where nothing they did would ever be considered by anyone else.
This is so awful for the student in question. All that effort they’ve put into starting a career which is already really hard and a massive public service. I hope it hasn’t ruined their confidence.
I will honestly be shocked if we ever make it to the point where creepy behaviour towards women and girls isn’t common
His comments sound like he’s not accepted what he did was wrong, just ‘unprofessional’
His statement makes it sound like he’s sorry he got caught, not that he’s sorry he did it. How disgusting.
‘He then conducted a clinical examination of the student without her consent’
How is this not assault?
What a grim situation from start to finish. And what a horrible non-apology too
once i called 111 bc i was incredibly sick and the guy got my number from the system and texted me 😭. sometimes people do not follow boundaries and are ultimately, complete creeps. what a loser!! i hope the student is ok.
Oh, it took me far too long to understand the sentence of that headline, the asking out was during the medical emergency, I read it as guy asks out girl, medical emergency happens, and things get odd
A friend of mine mentioned getting a call from a friend of his’ sister. She was wondering if she knew what happened to him. My friend told me that he was convicted of molested an underage girl undergoing a medical emergency when he was WORKING AS A FUCKING EMT!
Yeah my friend was like, tell ______ to lose my number. Crazy thing is that the guy’s sister was defending her brother like he was a saint.
Absolutely disgusting behaviour and disappointment to healthcare professionals, especially given its taken 6 years to be struck off.
Thinking about the perps of these crimes I always wonder about the state of arousal they’re in and how they manage it in the lead up to these crimes and generally how they’ve managed it through their lives.
I just remember PSE at school never really dealt with anything like this but I reckon sexual arousal can become and incredibly strong feeling and huge motivator for your associated thoughts. And in situations like these where people are vulnerable services and businesses should have an active plan to manage it; rather than just say don’t get aroused because that’s like saying don’t get hungry.
