In a hard-fought 97-92 win over the Dallas Wings on Thursday, Reese tallied just six points and a season-low of nine rebounds.

Despite this, she still leads the league in rebounding, averaging 13.0 per contest through the first five games of the season, including three double-doubles.

However, it wasn’t just Thursday’s win that stole the headlines, but Reese’s debut of her new signature Reebok sneaker, the Engine A “Pretty Gritty”.

Just hours before the game, Reebok took to Instagram to unveil Reese’s edition of the Engine A set to drop on June 4th.

On Friday, following the Sky’s big win, Reese shared the announcement on her Instagram story with the caption, “WE LOVE A PE. ‘PRETTY GRITTY’ OUT JUNE 4TH 💞💗💋💓❤️.”

In December 2024, Reebok formalized a multi-year partnership with the WNBA, naming the brand as the league’s official on-court shoe supplier.

Since being selected seventh overall by the Sky in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Reese hasn’t skipped a beat.

She earned a spot on the WNBA All-Rookie Team, was named an All-Star in her debut season and led the league in rebounds (13.1 per game).

Reese also shattered the rookie double-double streak, registering 26 total and 15 straight in 2024 and continues to rewrite franchise and league record books in 2025.

In Tuesday’s 94-89 loss to the Phoenix Mercury, Reese surpassed Tina Charles as the fastest player to record 500 points and 500 rebounds, doing so in just 38 games.
