Russell Wilson’s Wife Ciara Has Two-Word Reaction to Teyana Taylor’s Announcement originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Singer and actress Teyana Taylor just dropped some big news.
“ESCAPE ROOM — THE VISUAL ALBUM COMING AUGUST 2025,” wrote Taylor in her Instagram caption on Friday afternoon, along with the trailer for the record.
The trailer also features her boyfriend, Aaron Pierre, whom she hard-launched on social media in March.
On Instagram, Ciara, the singer and wife of NFL star Russell Wilson, reposted the teaser on her Instagram story two hours after the announcement was released. Alongside the video, the “Goodies” singer kept her message short and sweet with just two words that perfectly captured her excitement for her longtime friend’s return to music.
“Go TT!!,” Ciara wrote with six fire emojis.
Both R&B icons have remained friends throughout the years. Their friendship is evident in various public appearances and social media interactions. The two were last seen in public dancing together at the Vanity Fair Oscar party in March 2025.
Wilson even starred in Taylor’s music video for her song “Drunk in Love,” which earned her a “Best Choreography” award in 2017.
The two were also the cover girls of Essence Magazine for their July/August issue back in 2019 alongside Iman.

Taylor gained early attention on MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16” and later signed with Pharrell Williams’ Star Trak label, eventually joining Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music. Her standout albums include “VII” and “K.T.S.E.,” released in 2014 and 2018, respectively. She also earned widespread acclaim for her role in the 2023 film “A Thousand and One” and made history as the first Black woman to top Maxim’s Hot 100 list.
“Escape Room” will be Taylor’s first album since “The Album” came out in 2020.
