Parent here. It’s 3am. I’ve never seen more beautiful data. Congratulations until the next illness / teething / developmental leap!

We have been blessed with two sleeping babies (apart from feeding) from the start. I can only imagine the relief you are feeling right now. 🙏🏻

How do you measure their sleep? A mini Apple Watch? Haha I obviously don’t have kids. This is cool data!!

Do I need to understand the exhaustion of parenthood to get sleep like yours in the second pic? My graph looks like your first pic but I’m childless lol 😅

My son started sleeping through the night when he turned one year old but at the same time he started waking up at 4 am and going to sleep at 8 pm. He rarely sleeps full 8 hours and naps once for 2 hours when we’re at work. It’s impossible to fall asleep at 8 pm when you’re back from work at 5:30 pm so we sleep about 5 hours a night, provided he doesn’t wake up at 1 am as it occasionally happens. On top of that, since he naps when we can’t benefit from it anyway (we’re at work) we didn’t have any time to ourselves for over a year now. It’s either work, baby care or (partial) chores and the only breather is taking 10 minutes long shits so everybody leaves the other person be.
Personally, I preferred when he was was waking up at night but at least slept until the morning so we could take turns sleeping in.

Oh man, I’m in the middle of that transition myself. Finally getting some solid sleep, when my girls finally started not waking me up every 1-2 hours. Life is good!

It’s fucking glorious when that happens.
First night they don’t sleep through again though, worse than the newborn stage!

What device do you use to track baby’s sleep? There are a lot of such devices for adults: smart watches, bracelets, rings and such, but I had no clue there are baby devices as well.
Edit: It actually seems to be the parent’s sleep. Sorry, I’m kinda slow

Mine started sleeping through the night at 2 months old. I woke up and freaked out going “I didn’t even hear him!” My husband was like “Uhhhh yeah he hasn’t woken up yet.” It’s an amazing day when it happens!

OP here – lots of comments asking how I tracked baby’s sleep. This is my sleep through my Apple Watch, sorry for any confusion.
Very pleased to say baby has been sleeping 8pm-7am almost consistently for about 3 weeks now.

That is indeed beautiful data. Says me at 4.57 am with a 2 month old that has been awake since 3.30am.
