Good, America and UK shouldn’t be at odds over trade etc.
This should’ve been obvious when the announcement came out after our trade deal. Sadly, nothing *polite* is obvious with Trump and people were rightly concerned.
Anyway. Good result.
Another huge win for Starmer. He’s just totally nailing foreign policy.

See, Nigel, you don’t need to go to the United States to campaign for him just to get Trump to do what’s best for the UK.
To be fair the amount of steel and aluminium the UK exports to the US is pretty tiny so I’m not sure how much of a difference this really makes, to the US at least. It’s definitely not in the same basket as some of the other whipsaw tariff decisions.
Wasn’t this part of his trade agreement with the US?

Once again, the conservatives just opposing for the same of opposing. It looks as if they released their statement before they finished reading the headline.
The US isn’t going to have much need for either of these things until it can get a reliable source of processed rare earths (which China is not about to provide).. so it’s kinda moot.
Oh no, steel tariffs, when we barely even have a single foundry.
