As it turns out, Carolina Panthers wideout Xavier Legette did more than just the promotional work for GloRilla’s latest offering.
On Friday afternoon, the Grammy-nominated rapper released the music video for her new single, “Typa.” The track was teased earlier this week, with Legette featured alongside GloRilla (or right above, really) as part of the song’s cover art.
Well, Legette also stars in the video itself.

Funnily enough, “Typa” samples the Keyshia Cole hit “Love,” the song Panthers quarterback Bryce Young performed at the team’s rookie talent show in the summer of 2023. And Young seemed to deliver.
“He had a hell of a performance. I thought I was at a concert, to be honest with ya. Bryce had a hell of a performance,” former Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson stated.
“Everybody enjoyed it. He got into it. Tryin’ to tell ya, it was like a concert. He set the stage. He set the stage.”
So if there’s a remix eventually in the works, Legette may know a guy GloRilla can recruit for the chorus.
