Correctional officers at the Dubrava Correctional Center have prevented an attempt to introduce suspected narcotic substances into the facility.
The incident occurred during a routine raid in the visiting room, where a visitor was caught with substances hidden in his body.
According to the announcement of the Kosovo Correctional Service, during a routine check in the control booth, officers identified the smuggling attempt and acted immediately.
“As a result, the visit has been canceled and the visitor has been detained in the visiting room,” the statement said.
Immediately after the discovery, the case was forwarded to the Kosovo Police, which took possession of the suspected narcotic substance and initiated legal procedures for investigation and prosecution.
The Kosovo Correctional Service reiterates its commitment to strict control and prevention of any form of smuggling or prohibited behavior within correctional institutions.
“We will continue to implement strict control measures, with the aim of preventing any attempt to illegally introduce prohibited materials into our institutions,” the SKK announced. /Telegraph/
