Former FFK Secretary, Hodaj: FSHF is an example of our mismanaged federation

The former general secretary of the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK), Taulant Hodaj, has reacted through a post on social networks regarding the match between Albania and Serbia, highly praising its organization by the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) and calling on the FFK to learn from this example.

In his analysis, Hodaj notes that Albania has achieved a high level of organization, professionalism and international representation, while Kosovo continues to lag behind, despite the great potential it has at the national and international level.

“Kosovo has more than enough football talent, a competitive national team, budgets comparable to Albania, and even a Sponsorship Law that creates great opportunities for development. What is missing is professionalism in management and long-term vision,” Hodaj writes.

He considers the fear of placing Kosovo and KLA symbols in the stadium to be exaggerated, but emphasizes that attention should not stop there. According to him, the focus should be on the lessons that Kosovo can learn from Albania’s success, not on emotional criticism.

In a direct comparison, Hodaj cites the achievements of the Albanian Football Association in the last decade – including the construction of the “Air Albania” stadium, the national camp in Tirana, the organization of the first UEFA Conference League final and the development of modern infrastructure throughout the country – all, as he says, without state budgetary assistance.

In contrast, he criticizes the current leadership of the FFK for lack of transparency, unprofessional approach, and lack of institutional cooperation.

“Instead of criticizing Albania, we should adopt its model. Kosovo has every opportunity to not only reach, but also surpass the success of our neighbors – if we place professionalism and vision at the center of management,” Hodaj concludes.
