Since when are galaxies “single objects?” I guess if you ignore that they’re made up of millions of solar systems…

    **TLDR:**

    * Researchers using Australia’s ASKAP telescope identified 15 new Giant Radio Galaxies in the Sculptor Field, ranging from 3.7 to 12.4 million light-years in size, over 100 times the width of the Milky Way.
    * One standout galaxy, ASKAP J0107–2347, shows a rare dual-lobed structure suggesting episodic jet activity from a central supermassive black hole, offering clues into galaxy growth cycles.
    * ASKAP’s wide-field, high-resolution capabilities enable the detection of faint, large-scale radio structures, allowing scientists to analyze the morphology, age, and reactivation of ancient galactic jets.
