    IonQ just acquired Oxford Ionics for $1 billion, marking a huge consolidation in quantum computing that could either accelerate us toward solving real-world problems in drug discovery and AI, or create monopolies that stifle innovation. When do you realistically think quantum computers will actually outperform classical computers on practical problems – are we talking 5 years or still decades away?

  2. Can someone mind explaining to me how on the Earth does IonQ have $1.1 billion? As far as I know, they don’t have this much in revenue.
