The European envoy for the dialogue, Peter Sorensen, said that he is making preparations to organize a high-level meeting in the dialogue for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
He said that during the meeting in Brussels with the chief negotiators of Kosovo and Serbia, held on June 10, they discussed the normalization of relations between the two countries and agreed that discussions would continue soon.
“I hosted a long meeting in Brussels between the chief negotiators of Kosovo and Serbia. We discussed advancing the normalization of their relations in preparation for a high-level dialogue meeting, on the implementation of obligations and current issues. We agreed to continue the discussion soon,” he wrote in X.
Since taking office as mediator, Sorensen hosted the first meeting on Tuesday between Kosovo’s chief negotiator, Besnik Bislimi, and Serbia’s, Petar Petkovic.
Meanwhile, Kosovo and Serbia have not held a high-level meeting, within the framework of the dialogue, since September 2023. /Telegraph/
