      Trump can’t do anything but executive orders. He’s a child who can be bothered to go through due process and diligence. He declares shit like Michael declared bankruptcy.

      And no one is going to move on them in the industry because EO’s can and will be overturned at the drop of a hat. He needs to get some laws passed. Or not.

      The main reason the Concord stopped flying was that it just wasn’t profitable.

      Airlines are even harder squeezed for profit now. That’s why so many amenities have disappeared since the Concord’s time. What’s more, the price people are willing to pay over standard fares are also dropping: US Airlines have been reducing first class seating because first class bookings have been on a downward trend for years.

      There’s pretty much no big economic driver to push commercial supersonic flights. The only people who are going to take advantage are basically a handful of multimillionaire jet setters.

      That EO is for the benefit of people flying private jets, not the average person.

      My dude, does he realize there’s a reason why Concord only flew at supersonic speeds on Transatlantic routes?

      This guy probably thinks you can make them silent. NASA’s specially designed aircraft is hoping to achieve 75 pldb. I’d love to be someone living in rural Kansas and be constantly hearing thunder rumbling in the distance like I’m about to be whisked away to Oz.

      Not really surprised since he thinks stealth aircraft are meant to be actually invisible to the naked eye.
