Kosovo has expressed its willingness to cooperate with the United States of America regarding the admission and temporary resettlement of third-country nationals in Kosovo.
This was confirmed to the Telegraph by the acting Government Spokesperson, Përparim Kryeziu.
“In response to the request from the United States of America regarding the admission and temporary relocation of third-country nationals, we have expressed our willingness to cooperate with the United States in addressing this issue, in accordance with the established conditions,” said Kryeziu.
Related to this willingness of the incumbent Government, the US Embassy in Kosovo has said that they welcome this cooperation.
“We are grateful to our partner, Kosovo, for accepting third-country nationals removed from the United States and for facilitating the safe return of these foreigners to their countries of origin. We welcome cooperation on this key priority of the Trump Administration,” an embassy spokesperson told Telegraf.
Further, in response, the embassy said that they do not discuss the details of diplomatic communications.
The embassy emphasized that implementing the Trump Administration’s immigration policies is a top priority for the State Department.
“Continued engagement with foreign governments is vital to deterring illegal and mass migration and securing our borders. American partners and regional leaders are working closely with us to end the illegal and mass migration crisis,” the US embassy spokesperson’s response to the Telegraph further states.
The embassy added that Secretary Rubio emphasized that we remain steadfast in our commitment to ending illegal and mass migration and strengthening America’s border security.
We recall that the incumbent government has expressed its willingness to discuss with the United Kingdom the establishment of “return centers” in Kosovo for asylum seekers rejected by the British Isles. /Telegraph/
