    > The Algerian national threatened the 54-year-old with a 20-inch blade, demanding the ‘f***king Rolex’ on the singer’s arm, while threatening to cut his limb off.

If ever there was a candidate for deportation…

  2. Algerian national – so this piece of human detritus will be headed back to Algeria via deportation and barred from entry into the UK, right?

    >Magistrates were told he had 12 previous convictions for 28 offences, all relating to theft.

One really has to question why a foreign citizen who has robbed at least a dozen people at machete-point is not only still in the country, but allowed to walk free.

They could deport him, but the reality is he would be back on a small boat with a new identity a few months later…

  5. If he keeps attacking people with a machete then eventually he’s going to be given a suspended 2-week non-custodial sentence. Maybe when he reaches 100 offences?

  6. Is he being deported back to Algeria once the sentence is served, or is he allowed to stay?

These Daily Fail articles are intended to get you rooting to lose your rights. They seem to be working.

Because how the government treats non nationals is the way that would treat the rest of us if they could. What is stopping the government are our rights. You can’t take away our rights easily, but it is strange to hear people thinking that other people can lose their right to remain here.

If you think you’re different, that deporting foreigners should be allowed what happens when the government says that you are not a UK citizen?

  8. I think everybody wants to see him deported, the only problem is he’ll just get back in again.

Not only do we need to deport these types, we also need to focus on stopping them from entering/re-entering in the first place.

Deport? Just throw him in jail, I don’t mind paying taxes to know he’s in jail.

It really shouldn’t be controversial that anyone who commits a violent crime gets immediately deported. No appeals. No ifs, buts or maybes.

If Algeria doesn’t want him back, then stop issuing all visas to the country, and tax any remittances sent from the UK to Algeria at 100%. They’d change their opinion sharpish.

And did those feet in ancient time, walk upon England’s mountains green?

And was the holy Lamb of God, on England’s pleasant pastures seen?

There is no credible reason that this man shouldn’t be stripped his immigration status and deported after serving his sentence.

  13. >he had 12 previous convictions for 28 offences, all relating to theft.

The UK has forgotten that when you’re kind to the cruel you’re cruel to the kind.

He should have been stopped after 1 or 2 offenses at most. That’s ~26 other people (that we know of) that have had their life made worse all because the UK decided to be nice to this guy.

Look at that lantern jaw and those dull low IQ eyes. Did his mummy get shagged by a pitbull about 19 years ago by any chance? He looks like he was one of those mutant babies that was born hairy with a full set of teeth.

28 offences and still here in the UK. It’s scary how soft the UK is when it comes to handling foreign criminals
