United Healthcare customers could lose in-network access to all UAB Health System entities and Baptist Health Montgomery.
This is if a deal isn’t reached by July 31.
Starting August 1, 2025, patients may have to pay out-of-pocket at hospitals like UAB, Cooper Green, St. Vincent’s and even Children’s of Alabama.
UAB says it’s negotiating in good faith, but warns United’s demands threated the ability to provide high-quality care.
