Shkëlqim Devolli meets CNN CEO Thompson in London, formalizes the entry of the American television in Kosovo

In London, today, on Kosovo Liberation Day, Devolli Corporation shareholder, Shkëlqim Devolli, in a meeting with CNN Director and Chairman of the Board, Mark Thompson, formalized the partnership for the opening of D1 CNN in Kosovo.

Thompson congratulated the Devolli Corporation team for launching the new news television for Kosovo, promising that CNN will support their Kosovar partners at all times.

Entrepreneur Devolli emphasized the importance of cooperation with the world’s most famous television network, Made in USA, for Kosovo. 

“On this special day, June 12, when 26 years ago the whole world learned from CNN reports that Kosovo, our country, was liberated, we are formalizing CNN’s entry into Kosovo. Now, in a free Kosovo, in the Albanian language, CNN will talk about the independent state. It is a dream come true,” he said.

D1 CNN has already begun, in collaboration with CNN’s oversight team, to recruit staff for the launch of the news channel, which will be launched very soon.
