“US producer, Hershey, which owns the brand, has been working with the FSA to remove all Jolly Rancher products from the UK market since 2024 – but some businesses in Britain continue to import their products, the agency added.”

So, if I’m right, these products have a high chance of causing cancer and are deemed ‘safe’ for a US market, just not the British one.

OK, that seems good – maybe they should look into the American candy stores around Oxford street as an obvious choice where these items might be stocked. Might be a good opportunity to also check for signs of human trafficking…

Listen folks. No matter how tasty it looks, just leave that “candy” on the shelf. It’s not worth the extra bother. Just go in to the shop and launder your money like everyone else.

  5. Food ingredients on American food is just non regulated no where in ingredients mentioned milk . But after that big bold SOME INGREDIENTS CONTAINS MILK . How does that work ?

  6. Yeah that tracks. Although, who was under the impression that this was organic health food? Not sure what to tell the consumer if this wasn’t already clear.

  7. Damn… my American friend gave me a couple of massive 2.5kg bags of these as a gift last year. At them all over a period of like 2 months…

Now i learn he was trying to kill me…

What hunk of almost pure sugar has not been shown to bad for you? If you are worried about your health, don’t eat candy.

After watching Dopesick I wouldn’t trust any administration over there to do proper due diligence.

  10. And the UK wants to do a trade deal with that despotic, right-wing, conservative country and bring over their crap to this country in droves. F*ck USA.

I’m surprised no-one has mentioned the Jolly Rancher story yet…
