Iran likes to talk a lot but will end up doing nothing as usual

Trump would love an excuse to simply give the order to wipe out the Iranian regime so he can spend the next few years taking all the credit for it, or rather giving himself the credit for it.
Was it in the late 70s or early 80s when Iran decided to attack a US ship, so the Americans destroyed their *entire* navy in under an hour?
Love being allied with Israel. Love it when we have to get dragged into their mess.
If the regime is about to fall then they might just start targeting anything, although if they did this it would hasten that because the US would get directly involved.
Iran need everything they have for the conflict with Isreal which they are currently loosing. Threatening people that arn’t attacking them is rather silly.
Realistically what could they use they may have a ballistic missile that could hit a British base but currently they are getting rolled by the Israeli Airforce who appear to have total air supremacy over Iran. Excessive sabre rattling brought them to this point I am not sure they really want to continue down that same path by dragging in Western Militaries as well.
Bloody bring it on and see how how well that turns out for, would just be hastening that shitty regimes down fall
If the brits, French and the US keep supporting Israel with intelligence services and weapons, they are already directly involved. Doesn’t matter how bad it gets, these three countries are always involved when it comes to messing up with the world and in the middle East specifically. Israel is on the wrong side, always been since the ’50s

Given we are supplying Israel with weapons and training their troops it’s not altogether surprising we are getting dragged into this. Iran may not respond with conventional attacks but their ability to harm us through terrorist attacks should not be underestimated

I think what we should be doing is getting together with our allies in Europe, stop giving Israel a free pass to do what they like, and get Netanyahu to stop randomly bombing his neighbours
This proves the leadership structure in Iran clearly doesn’t listen to any game theory, to me.
I could be wrong but I can’t see any benefit to such a statement. I guess you could argue that Britain and France would never go against Israel, but that feels like a self-fulfilling prophecy to me. I know these bases must be helping Israel, but I don’t think the route to stopping that is threats to those very same bases.

Sounds like a great idea – attack positions in places like Saudi, purely to provoke the responses of the World’s most powerful military and the two most powerful European militaries on top of already having engaged with what is unquestionably the most powerful military in the Middle East…

Iran is like that kid who threatens to do nasty stuff but realises the consequences are far beyond what they can handle.
We should **not** help Israel here. Israel did not explicitly warn the UK of this. We should not be dragged into this mess just because Netanyahu wants to stay in power and avoid prison for a bit longer. We should stay neutral and not even give weapons.
This is not Israel defending themselves. This is Israel starting a war with Iran.
Headline is missing out the big caveat that Iran is threatening to target American, British and French based *if those nations intercede militarily on Israels side*. Pretty major thing to miss out.

This is Iran who is currently getting pummelled by Israel? This is Iran which if their Oil facilities are hit and wiped out will plummet the economy? The same Iran who totally 100% didn’t know about those Iranians plotting a terrorist attack in the UK. Or the Iranians who took a British flagged ship hostage a few years back?
I feel for the people of Iran having these clowns in charge. I hope the path to the more liberal and open Iran is a reality. Israel are gonna do what Israel do right or wrong. There’s realistically only 2 nations that have any real sway on them. It’s the US, and Germany. And both seem not majorly bothered by what’s happening.

We should be defending our territory and that of our European friends.
The UK should stay away from this. If Trump wants to abandon our efforts in Eastern Europe and turn it into a source of passive profit we have no reason to involve ourselves in their interests.
The only way I see us getting more involved is if we are attacked first or if the US make agreements to increase support in Ukraine. But the UK – US military alliance seems a lot less aligned these days

Given Israel’s accusations that the UK are “emboldening Hamas” and their flagrant disregard for international law, I for one sincerely hope we sit this one out. Israel has been far from treating us as an ally recently so we should do the same.
I swear this region just needs all these old dickheads that run their countries to die or go into the nursing home and let some younger people have a go. Netanyahu has been in situ in one form or another for nearly 30 years ffs. And then all these revolutionary army guys in Iran that have been knocking around since the 80s. They have absolutely nothing useful to offer the world
