Former Foreign Minister, Paskal Milo, has emphasized the historical importance of Albania’s contribution to Kosovo, describing it as one of the brightest moments of national diplomacy.

Milo emphasized that the year 1912 marks the greatest national diplomatic contribution that any Albanian government has made to the Albanian nation.

According to Milo, the Albanian diplomacy and government of that time wrote a bright chapter in the modern history of Albania. He noted that the historical injustice of the London Conference, which left Kosovo outside the borders of Albania, was finally being corrected.

“The contribution of the Albanian government at that time was extraordinary,” Milo declared. He emphasized that Albania managed to create a reliable partnership with the US and NATO countries, thanks to the efficient decision-making of all Albanian state structures. “At that time, we were an active part of the decision-making,” he added.

Unification of the Albanian factor

One of the main points emphasized by Paskal Milo was that “the Kosovo issue unified the Albanian factor.”

“This national unity played an essential role in addressing the Kosovo issue in the international arena and in consolidating Albania’s position as a reliable partner. This historical perspective of Milos offers insight into the importance of unity and diplomacy at critical moments in national history.”
