That’s crazy low. CEOs provide way more than 52x value to shareholders. They’re underpaid.
52x doesn’t even seem that high considering some are paid 50-300 million a year. I was expecting 1000x.
Not a surprise. Most c suites have stocks as part of comp which can make significant difference in there comp.
Work the first week and take the rest of the year off for the exact same standard of living
(Not including other income 🙃)
Someone managed to squeeze in an article about the real problem between all the articles about immigration?

When talking about the earnings of CEOs it should automatically include any bonuses received and along with stock too to give a real picture of earnings.
What bothers me is not the CEO pay. Why would we expect that to be any closer to the average worker? The responsibility is more. What does get my goat is the reward for failure – latest case Thames Water. They don’t seem accountable for their failures which is unforgivable.
The median salary is about £37k, so based on this the median CEO would be on ~£1.9 million a year.
That doesn’t sound unreasonable. Anyone can apply to be CEO if they think they have what it takes to you probably don’t want the cleaner running your bank though.
I get that people are angry about stuff like this but how much do they want workers to be paid in comparison to the CEO exactly? Half the amount? 10% of the amount? The same?
Sickening greed. Nobody’s productivity, worth or value is equal to 52 standard workers. Pure, selfish greed.
And I lived long enough to know that next year it will be slightly higher.
Compare to America it’s not that bad. Still ridiculous of course.
