Hii!
Can someone please tell me how you read these pay scales,
Like what doeseach numerical value on the rows and columns mean?

Also, if anyone is a nurse or an X-ray technician/radiographer, could you kindly please reach out to me? I’d really like to ask a few questions not just about salary, but also about the job itself and what it’s like, as I’m thinking about what I want to do in the near future.🫣

Thank you so much!! 👩🏼‍⚕️🩻

  1. What is your salary scale? Basically, your post should have the salary scale listed somewhere. Usually, it’s upfront in the call.

    Quick explanation:
The scale is usually tied to a role. The lower the scale, the higher the position. This is the number in the first column and specifies that the rest of the table applies to that scale.

The columns are the years till 2030. The agreement was negotiated till that year. After 2030, a new agreement should be put in place.

When you start a job, you start at row 1 in the specific salary scale table(unless specified otherwise), and each year, move up a row.

This means each year, your salary should move diagonally across the table till 2030.

  2. Glittering_84 on

If for example you are in scale 5 you start in the lower box of 2025, every year you go up 1 box plus increment, so this year you start at 34,184. In 2026 you add 641 and 1652 and you salary will be 36,477 plus allowances.
