Jorma Kaukonen is a music legend for his time in Jefferson Airplane, for founding Hot Tuna, and for his decades of guitar mastery and tutoring at his Peace Ranch, so his appearance at the Spire Center in Plymouth for a duo show with John Hurlbut is an event. South Shore jazz chanteuse Donna Byrne performs at Norwell’s Church Hill Coffeehouse. The Parker Barrow Blues Band makes its debut at the Fallout Shelter in Norwood. Let’s Sing Taylor is the tribute to Ms. Swift at the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis. A Band of Brothers celebrates the Allman Brothers Band at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke. Canadian songwriter Jeremie Albino headlines the Narrows Center in Fall River. Smooth jazz titan Walter Beasley opens a weekend at Scullers Jazz Club in Boston. The Back Nine Band, with Terpene Profile, gets The C Note in Hull heated up. The Rick Russell Band returns to The Next Page Cafe in Weymouth. Jazz-fusion bassist Mohini Dey and her trio at The RegattaBar in Cambridge. Slightly Stoopid‘s ska-rock takes over The Stage at Suffolk Downs in Revere. Marblehead native, Wheaton College grad and sizzling, multilingual jazz singer Lauren Henderson returns to headline The RegattaBar in Cambridge with her combo. The Spire Center in Plymouth has a cool summer series of Sunday afternoon jazz concerts, and this week the 3 p.m. show is a tribute to Frank Sinatra, with the A Swingin’ Affair big band. The weekly blues jam helmed by the Michele Rockwell Band takes over Players in Rockland from 4-8 p.m. The good time sounds of Gracie Grace & All the Good Boys at the Levitate Backyard in Marshfield. Alt-pop singer Banks headlines the House of Blues in Boston. Alt-folk songsmith Will Wood is at Royale in Boston. Swiss jazz singer Tatiana Eva-Marie touches down at City Winery in Boston. Rock ‘n’ roll titan Todd Rundgren brings his solo show to Cary Hall in Lexington, but if you can’t make that one, catch him on June 25 at Memorial Hall in Plymouth.
