I’m sorry, I understand a lot of people like this weather, but it makes me miserable. I’m very much looking forward to autumn and winter 😊

I hate these 30C+ heatwaves. Give me a nice 15-20C heat, 25+ is just pain
AlpsSad1364 on
The met office are just doing this for attention I’m sure. In the south west the threshold for a “heatwave” is 25°. That’s barely even sitting-outside-in-the-evening temperature.
I’ve already got a hoody on.

26° here and I’ve spent every minute in the garden it’s bliss, gf is ginger so she won’t come out 😂

Working in a kitchen is killing me in this heat, but I love it when I’m not at work

Our friend from Zimbabwe living in the UK said to us the other day “Zimbabwe is hot. Like, really hot. This is way worse”.

It’s hit 29 here in Bristol and I am suffering. I love the sun, love the warm weather, love this time of year! But at a certain point, it’s pure discomfort and it makes enjoying it impossible.

It occasionally gets hot in the summer months… British press have an absolute meltdown.

I’m in Suffolk. Always the swampiest hottest area unfortunately. I work outdoors and it kills me. Literally do nothing outside of work because I’m wrecked.
Some people love it, they’re entitled to their opinion. My opinion is that’s they’re nuts.

I’ve got a new build that gets no wind, and the bricks are molten hot right now (9pm). It’s a fucking oven all day and all night. My young children sweat themselves to sleep.
I’m not worried though – they’ll grow up, and climate change isn’t a thing to worry about according to our stupidest citizens. And because we’re Great Britain, that means they’re brighter than 95% of the rest of the planet. They know everything. It’ll all be fine! /s

I was quenching for thirst and beverages when in London the past two weeks. If I continued staying this week it could have been much worse.

It’s lovely weather. People like to moan but if we weren’t all working 5 times a week and were on a holiday, we’d be loving this weather abroad. It’s just we all have to go home and cook and do normal things that we wouldn’t be doing on a holiday.

I was doing a heavy manual job all day. It was OK. Get on with it and hug the shade when you can.

I’m half Saudi. Saudi with 45C is more bearable than UK 30C heat. The humidity in the UK is absolutely devastating.

Loving it. Everyone is happier outside except the basement dwellers having to close the curtains from the sunlight hitting the screen.

Don’t forget people, as the government is stressing about the possibility that we can’t cope with a little bit of nice weather . “ keep drinking fluids to avoid getting dehydrated , cover yourself with sun protection factor 15 , wear a hat to avoid getting a sunburned head. In fact just go ahead about your day and just dress like it’s fucking winter.

What is it about the UK heatwaves that hit different? I’m from the Philippines and I find it more unbearable here. Is it the contrast going from mid teens to near 30s just a shock to the system, like when you step off the plane abroad? Or not having AC at home? Or is it just the polar opposite of winter where -5C feels colder than the arctic because of the humidity. I got sunburnt today.

This weather 🌡️ is too hot, Saturday is going to be 32 degrees. But I am sleeping with my AC, even though I want to turn it off, it feels like winter in my room.

I don’t mind it in the day when it’s dry heat but the humid nights are diabolical. My newborn baby is struggling and very hot and bothered 🙁

If only aircon was common in houses in this country, then it would be lovely.
