There is a video going around internet now about georgian guy filming delivery girl and talking to her on how ‘wrong’ she is holding the box of khinkali… A lot of people on the internet are having divided opinions, whether was it too aggressive what this guy did or was it deserved.
IMO, guy recording the video didn’t say anything outlandish nor he raised his voice so saying that he was way over the line is an exaggeration. However, in defense of the delivery girl, she once delivered food to me as well and she had to walk 11 floors to get to me, because her phone died and couldn’t receive the elevator code from me. Respect to her for that. I think there is a hint of racism in that incident. wdyt?

1. You say that the guy didn’t do anything outlandish but when the video starts recording she already has a very disturbed look to her , so who knows what the guy did or what was said before he started recording….
2. It’s messed up. If nothing else and the guy had said nothing at all and just posted a video of some girl that was obviously going through a hard time emotionally, just the act of posting a video of an emotionally distract person would not be ethically correct imo.
3. If this was the other way around , and it was a foreigner behind the camera and a Georgian girl in the video, that guy would be in intensive care right now in the hospital, if not dead. Does that tell you anything if it’s “wrong” or not?

Honestly that guy did not deserved that much hate. His complaint was valid and fact is that he did not abused girl or told her bad words, he criticize wolt for hiring unprofessional people and he was right, food should not be held and delivered like that, why she dont have proper equipment like other delivery workers.
All people defended her because she was probably teen and cute and looked scared, and honestly i felt bad for her too but it does not make guy recording wromg. If it was indian men literally whole internet would put him in grave, but since it was cute girl everyone took her side.

I think its a complex interaction between 2 people. Its not just because she is Indian, local delivery drivers get similar treatment.
Fault of the Guy:
– Recording someone without consent and being loud towards a delivery girl who was clearly emotionally not taking it well. He could have given her low rating and gotten money back.
Fault of the Girl:
– Not having a box-bag (maybe?)
– Working in a country where she cant speak the local language or even Russian.

I’ll be a little bit harsh here but STRUGGLING Indian parents shouldn’t send their kids abroad for studies, especially girls. If they are, then they must make sure they provide their kids enough money to support themselves instead of their kids doing meager part time jobs in a country that doesn’t even pay its own citizens well.
