I’d copy/paste the article here so nobody has to risk contracting Reach Plc AIDS but I can’t see the article through all the ads.

If Wales don’t have a team, you’d expect them to support England. So no harm done. But in reality Welsh would rather support any team other than England. What Tesco have done is offensive.

  3. Oh, so typical! Who makes the decisions for these supermarkets? It seems to be people who have absolutely no idea about anything!

Why apologise? It’s a football related thing. If people are upset or offended, grow up.

The witch hunt on some of this stuff needs to end and the hunters told to fuck off

This happens all the time. When I worked for one of the large retailers we once got sent shippers full of English flags, balls, bunting, hats etc, unsurprisingly they didn’t sell even with significant markdown and ended up with a product recall. Nobody got upset about it, it was just funny.

    Sorry sorry sorry. Not enough.

I want reparations. Wrexham signing autographs in the Tesco near Arsenal.

If they didn’t offer this promotion in Wales then I’m sure the same people would complain that they were being excluded

Its weird how social media comments make genuine headline news these days. The same social media comments who think the earth is flat, or the moon landings are fake

Tesco at this everywhere. Wales is a provence of the United Kingdom. Imagine how pissed Ireland customers are when they see that England crap happening in
Republic of Ireland – a bloody separate country to the UK!

  11. Why is it any story like this and English people use it as an excuse to talk about how much they despise Welsh people.

Never understood why the English see Scots as their tempestuous brothers but seem to hold Welsh people in genuine disdain. Just sad. Most Welsh people are I know like English people, beyond banter, and almost everyone I know has family/friends living over the border.
