WILDWOOD, Mo. – On Friday evening, alumni from Lafayette High School gathered at Crestwood Middle School to host a musical tribute, honoring former choir director Joyce Blaylock.
Described as humble and putting the needs of others before her own, Blaylock always had a grin on her face as she listened to her pupils perform songs.
“She touched the lives of so many of us students, and many of us have gone on to have careers in the entertainment business (and) in the music business,” said former student Mark David. “And we just figured that after 40 years, we needed to do a tribute to her and let her know just how much she meant to all of us.”
