  1. >“Iran’s nuclear programme is a grave threat to international security, and Canada has been consistently clear that Iran can never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon,” he wrote in a post to X Sunday morning. “While U.S. military action taken last night was designed to alleviate that threat, the situation in the Middle East remains highly volatile. Stability in the region is a priority.”

And just as importantly the USA needs to get their sh&# together and get rid of their leader. He is incompetent and only has his own interests at heart.

They tried, twice, the negotiating table was blown up in the middle of talks both times. The chief negotiator was also blown up along with his entire family.

They were at the negotiating table and America and Israel used that to lure them into a false sense of security and then launched a “preemptive” surprise attack and bragged about. Who in their right mind would trust negotiations with either the US or Israel after that? Two completely rabid dogs.

I’d certainly hope so. With multiple American carrier groups in the region and the IAF still having completely air superiority over Iranian skies, it would be unwise for them to attempt to strike back against US forces. It’s pretty much game over for them at this point. Negotiating for a peace is the best outcome for Iran/ the IRGC

Trump: “Oh did you say ceasefire at the G7? I thought you said fire. Be more clear next time! Make up your mind Carney!”

    – Trump Probably

  7. Trump and the administration appear to be getting closer to totally ignoring everyone and doing what they think is best for them in short term. The president is trying to push him country unwillingly into war, started abducting brown people & beating up on protesters. Its getting more crazy by the month.

What was the perceived imminent threat that allowed Trump to bomb Iran without congressional approval?  Why is Carney not talking about that?

What a joke. Iran was at the negotiating table. Actually, they were the first and only country to enter and completed negotiations to limit their nuclear program and put in under international observation. Then the US tore up the agreement. Then Israel attacked the Iranian military and nuclear facilities. Then the US bombed the nuclear facilities. All the while, Iran has been at the table. How exactly are the US and Israel “at the table” when they unilaterally ripped up the previous agreement and are actively bombing the country, it’s infrastructure, and killing it’s civilians? This is madness. What a joke. Iran has to “come to the table”. I can finally see why the rest of the world is fed up with the west’s bullshit.

The comments are filled with bots spewing anti western propaganda and ignoramus’ that get all their information from social media

  11. Both sides are a*holes and we shouldn’t stick our necks into this quagmire. Steer clear.

  12. Not a supporter of the theocratic regime, but let’s be real, they’ve been at the negotiating table (you could argue they were negotiating in bad faith) and they were attacked twice in the last few days by both Israel and the US.

It was also the US during Trump’s first term that pulled out of the deal, a deal Netanyahu had been working to destroy from day one.

Canada should strongly condemn the bombing actions of the United States and Israel!

People are going to critique Carney, but what else exactly is he supposed to do?

He’s putting public pressure on Iran and the States to not kill each other. I doubt it’ll work, but short of mobilizing the army and joining a side, I’m not sure how much more he can do. We don’t have that much influence over American policy. Less than we used to, really.

  15. They killed the negotiators and used negotiations as a cover for strikes. What incentive does Iran have to negotiate? The whole thing is sick and twisted. Trump and Netanyahu are war criminals.

Absolutely astounded at people here apparently simping for the poor dear Iranian regime, which executed 900 people this year, tortures their prisoners brutally, and funds terrorists all over the world.

Are you happy that Russia has nukes? Are you happy North Korea has nukes? I guarantee South Korea deeply regrets not stepping in sooner there. Now, North Korea can dump its nuclear waste in South Korea’s water (as it has recently), and absolutely nothing can be done about it.

  17. Possible-Champion222 on

Time to distance ourselves forever from the terrorist state to the south. I don’t want Iran having nukes but this will guarantee they get and use one.

  18. He needs to posture to get us a good trade deal with the U.S. in the next month
