Turkish BORAN 105 mm howitzers were delivered to Macedonia last week, while their official promotion will take place next month.

The information that Macedonia has become the first European country to receive Turkey’s BORAN 105 mm howitzers was announced by the Turkish Ministry of Defense.
“Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this success, which is of great importance considering that this is the first export of our howitzers to Europe,” the Turkish Ministry’s statement said.
The agreement for the delivery of the howitzers was signed on December 21, 2022, and they were delivered together with the corresponding ammunition.
BORAN is considered the lightest howitzer in its class and can be transported by helicopter, making it particularly suitable for mobile operations. It has a range of up to 17 kilometers and can be deployed in one minute.
