  1. Detectives from the Taskforce Lunar are investigating two fires at separate tobacco stores in Glenroy on Friday.

Two tobacco shops were suspiciously razed by fire in Melbourne’s north in the early hours of Friday morning.

Emergency services were called to the first business on Morgan Ct about 4.15am.

A Fire Rescue Victoria spokesperson said a car was found smashed into the building and the shop on fire.  It is understood a second two-storey business was then set alight moments later on Belair Ave about 4.19am. The fire of this building was contained to the ground floor.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said two crime scenes have been established and an arson chemist will attend later this morning.  “The exact circumstances surrounding the fire are yet to be determined and police are treating it as suspicious,” they said.

Wasn’t the tobacco war supposed to be over after the warring groups made a deal?

The deal the Haddaras made is the criminal equivalent of being forcefully annexed, I wouldn’t be surprised if they haven’t all laid down yet, a fair few of them lost big ‘inheritances’ over this.

That or Fadi didn’t mention these properties to the Hamad family when they made the deal.
