Does this mean anything, or is it one of those things designed to get in the media by using arbitrary measures to tell people what they want to hear?

So what is the French decline linked to then?
At least the Independent and Guardian get to hit their quota of brexit articles.

Has rishi’s tenure improved or worsened our finances since covid?
Genuine question

Wasn’t Brexit, due to the new EU money laundering bill.

Europe in general is in decline. The 3 major economies are all within margins of each other. USA is steam rolling ahead. Europe has an idiotic and delusional energy agenda (and isn’t self sufficient in energy anyway), an immigration and asylum problem, fertility crisis, and a horrendous bureaucracy stifling entrepreneurship and creativity. Where are all the trillion dollar companies in Europe? The Apple, Amazon, Google, Nvidia, Meta? America produces them all, and will continue to do so. The next trillion dollar companies of the coming decades, whatever sector they are, will come from America. The only thing Europe is good at is passing regulations on these things it barely even understands.
