They have just left their university graduation. Isma Juárez, journalist of El Intermedio, asks them a fairly simple question: 👉 ”Who is Felipe González?”

The answers: 🗣️ “I think it was king of Spain.” 🗣️ “Of the PP?”

I am a Spanish teacher for foreigners, and it is not the first time that happens to me: students from other countries, with an intermediate level of Spanish, not only know who Felipe González was, but also understand their role in the history of democracy in Spain.

I do not say that all young people should be experts in politics, but … does the name of a president who was more than a decade in power sound like?

Sometimes I have the feeling that my international students know and value this country more than many of those who have passed through the entire Spanish education system.

    What do you think?

Joder, que suerte. Yo quiero olvidar que existió y que mis abuelos le votaron.
