Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has spoken about the situation in northern Kosovo and the presence of Turkish KFOR in the country.
Erdogan said that Turkish KFOR members are in the Western Balkans region “for peace and tranquility,” adding that while Turkish KFOR is there, he hopes there will be no problems.
“As you know, Turkish KFOR is in the region. Why is it in the region? For peace, for tranquility, and as long as we are there, God willing we will not have problems there,” Erdogan declared at a press conference after the NATO summit in The Hague, when asked about the situation in the north of the country by a Kosovo journalist.
The head of state of Turkey attended the NATO Summit which was held in The Hague, Netherlands.
