Shit parents who don’t bother to raise their children have always existed, and will always exist. One encounter doesn’t mean that this is a widespread phenomenon.
Why does every single article about young boys doing something shitty end up with a paragraph or two about Adolescence?
It’s what happens when kids believe themselves above punishment.
Parents have no power. Any attempt to control is met by with threats of Child line or Police. They genuinely believe being told to stay indoors is abuse.
Kids these days are ridiculous, but we have to accept the responsibility of making them that way.
How many times have people heard “You can’t do anything, I’m only 16″…
Maybe i’m a little too exposed to all this garbage on the internet but she’s 26, surely she’s at least somewhat aware of something that’s been regularly in the collective discourse for years now?
The kids need more than a telling off clearly and as the parents have all but disappeared into the ether it’s forced upon the rest of society to sort them out, but how? Just pointing to Adolescence is hardly a cure-all for a broken family, lack of masculine role models and to some extent lack of sisters to ground them, but inaction is hardly an option as they harden their views. Maybe all it takes is to intervene like the neighbour did, perhaps enough interventions will turn some of them away from these grift merchants.

Kids were like that when I was at primary school as well, in the 80’s. Worse if anything.
Only a small number. Most primary school kids are still pretty normal. The difference is that those at the extremes (both ends) are much worse than kids were 20+ years ago.

Most parents are too lazy or stupid to put proper adult supervision over what they can view.
Even if you do, the kids mix with other kids in school who have seen this inappropriate content, so they pick up all the bad words from them.
Kids shouldn’t be able to view inappropriate media. It used to be highly restricted 20years ago.
Now all they need is a tablet or phone to view the worst content, with zero filters.
This is a massive problem.

growing up many many years ago, I had groups of girls as friends and they were so so much worse then guys in how they talked. their “locker room” talk put what guys talk about to shame. I actually find it shocking.

When i was small and had a big mouth towards elders that were strangers i sometimes got a light smack from them and they took me to my home and told my parents and was sent to my room. Dont forget today parents believe their kids dont lie jadajada. My mum never believed what i said when i was involved in shit because she knew i will lie. Kids have to be trained. Period. You dont train them early on you have the same problems like when you dont train your dog.
Kids are way worse now than they were 10-15 years ago.
No punishment/ consequences any more.

Primary school kids knew those phrases when I was in what would now be year 6 back in 1989/90. They were singing ditties about sexual subjects and making up claims they’d had sex in the back of cars and stuff. I’m sure it’s more prevalent now, but it’s not a new Internet age phenomenon.
What doesn’t help is the police reform act 2016 and the fact unless a child has a knife or commits GBH or above, they are refused from custody. If you take a naughty kid home in a police car the parents have a go at the officers.

Last week, a gang of teenagers came to the café where I work, screamed at us, destroyed goods and plates, threatened us, called me a foreign cunt. One of the teens got arrested, but I doubt anything will be done. Teenagers are free to be feral beasts and unleash their plague on us normal people. I weep thinking they are “the future ” of this country. England is doomed.
Attitude and “dress” code is just abysmal, especially those little shits with the full face masks and roadman attire …

Tbh this has happened every generation. The difference is that adults don’t feel like they can yell at other people’s kids / chase them off like they did in previous generations.
I remember when we were kids there were houses we’d sneak past because we knew the guy living there would be a real bastard if we woke his wife who did night shifts up.
It doesn’t make it right, not by a very long shot, but this is not the time to act like this is anything new. I grew up in the early 90s and young lads were absolutely fucking feral even then and would say and do some heinous stuff, it’s just it’s made it off the council estates where I grew up now.
