The members of the Kosovo Assembly will gather again today, in the 38th attempt in a row to constitute the ninth legislature of this institution.
Otherwise, on Wednesday, the constitutive session of the Ninth Legislature of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo continued, interrupted on Monday, June 23.
Chairman Avni Dehari invited parliamentary political entities that have not proposed deputies for members of the electoral commission for the election of the Speaker of the Assembly by secret ballot, to do so, but they did not submit proposals.
Chairman Dehari put the composition of the committee to the vote, with the members proposed in the previous sessions. Out of the 92 deputies present in the hall, 52 voted in favor, while there were no votes against and no abstentions.
Under these circumstances, Chairman Dehari announced the adjournment of the session and announced its continuation on Friday, June 27, at 11:00.
The Constitutional Court yesterday found on Thursday that the constitutive session of the ninth legislature of the Assembly of Kosovo must end within 30 days at the latest.
In publishing the judgment on the request of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo on the issue of switching the voting for the Speaker of the Assembly from open to closed voting, the Constitutional Court also found that the session that began on April 15 and its continuation until now has not been conducted in accordance with the Constitution.
