Reform doing outstandingly well I see, finance on the agenda but no finance or business representatives, they must have closed the meeting before the coffee got cold. This really cannot continue much longer if they continue to stagger on like this they will end up in special measures.

They’re not sending their best. They’re sending racists, they’re bringing disruption, and some I assume are good people.
(I do not, in fact, assume any are good people)

Taking their cue from their esteemed leader who CBA doing his job either. Not when there’s important grift to be done.

1 item on the agenda and the guy who’s remit it’s about is sick that day.
How long should they have sat there? 3 hours just for the apreances maybe?

They were convened to discuss finance proposals – the only thing on the agenda – and the reform councillor with responsibility for it, Rob Wharton, didn’t show up. There was some heated debate about non-showing councillors automatically being fired. The reform leader of the council, Jo Monk, refused to answer any questions and closed the meeting. What a shitshow.

It’s quite common for Cabinet meetings to be short if there is a majority control, typically there isn’t much debate. Meeting of the Full Council tend to take longer and the debate is typically done in scrutiny and oversight committe meetings.
Our Local Council is currently Labour and a lot of their Cabinet meetings only last 20 minutes or so. Council and Scrutiny meetings are more like 3 hours.

They’ll do fuck all and blame eveything on “woke” and immigrants. Yeah, thanks Nigel.

Could these Reform councillors possibly be, and hear me out on this one, a bunch of incompetent and bone idle chancers who have unexpectedly found themselves completely out of their depth and without a clue what to do?

I would have been happy if it had been five minutes, enough time for those Reform councillors who cannot be bothered to the job properly to tender their resignation. Or any other councillor similarly too lazy.

Yeah but Labour and Tories are so bad we may as well give these grifters a chance right? ….right?!?

All these Reform councils will end up in special measures by end of their terms

And yet these charlatans and chancers are leading the polls. The public really are idiots and why we as a country can’t have, and don’t deserve, nice things.

This can only hurt Reform’s general election chances. It gives people an insight into what they are like once they actually have some power.
