Not a Reform fan by any stretch, but physically attacking them is awful and not going to have the outcome you’d like.

Physical violence on any person is abhorrent doesn’t matter who they represent

  3. Nice-Firefighter-926 on

Make the people you hate look like innocent victims, and make your side look like violent deranged thugs. This is an incredibly foolish way to oppose Reform.

  4. Yea, ima press X to doubt here.

The only reason this is politically motivated is because a member of a party known for lying to agitate their base says that a non descript citizen who he can’t remember the voice of was unhappy about his affiliation with reform.
    It’s very… convientent…

The saddest thing is that people will believe he was attacked for political affiliations, when in reality, he was probably being a racist cunt, picked on the wrong guy and got a smack down for it.

Edit – proven correct by all the Reform bots lining up to question how dare I disbelieve the word of their beloved saint who will deliver them from all evil, especially the brown kind and no, he couldn’t possibly be the slightest bit racist after all, Reform simply doesn’t allow people of that calibre in the party.
Statisticians inform me that Reform voters aren’t the brightest bunch. Well no shit Sherlock!

I think this is absolutely deplorable and there is no excuse for it…but am I surprised…no.
Reform have consistently been on the attack in the media using some horrific language against some vulnerable groups.
It was only a matter of time before the anger they’ve been stoking came back on them.

Sorry but I don’t trust a word any Reform politician says. To be Reform is to be inherently stupid, a bully or a liar. I want to know what happened first as I wouldn’t be surprised if he made it up or brought it on himself for being a twat.

I don’t know what’s worse the fact that someone, allegedly, assaulted him or navigating that website!

That’s okay. The Farage rulebook says it’s only a criminal offence if you throw a milkshake at someone. Physical violence qualifies for “Christian forgiveness”.

So supporting kneecap for telling people to “kill their MP” wasn’t a good thing after all?

  11. Look up Diane Abbott abuse! She’s not allowed to open her own mail because of the abuse. A tory donor made awful threats against her. Reform will milk the victim card though. People aren’t for hitting regardless of their vile views.

  12. This shouldn’t have happened.

However, they are a party known to rile people up and enflame emotions, the consequences of which can be unpredictable.

  13. unpopular opinion: they want to do far worse to far more people

fuck him, maybe it shouldn’t have happened but i honestly do not care that it did

    > in what he believes to be a politically-motivated assault.

There is no other context, and the police statement is (correctly) vague until investigations are completed

  15. Tricksilver89 on

Well we’ve allowed bad actors (see Kneecap, see Bob Vylan) to encourage this sort of behaviour.

I’m sure there won’t be much sympathy because of his party mind you.

Is there a go fund me set up?

I’d be happy to pitch in for some knuckle salve.

  17. If cruelty is the only language you speak then you shouldn’t be surprised when people respond in kind.

  18. Political + violence = Terrorism.

Hope justice prevail and the correct charge is applied

  19. OMG how terrible.
On the plus side at least his alleged attacker didn’t punch him in his brain

  20. adultintheroom_ on

I think the people supporting this should remember that the Pandora’s box of political violence will be very difficult to close once it’s opened, and won’t just be directed towards The Bad Guys.

Hmmm. Representative of a party which wants the navy used against poor people in dinghies and who’s voters repeatedly post about them drowning, gets a minor kicking.

While violence is never the answer, I can however, fully understand the frustration that reform give people
