It’s not Maltese and doesn’t even look that good !!!
Now show us how dirty are things in the kitchen and how non basic hygiene rules are followed .
Malta is the only place I have seen cooks on restaurants, getting pasta which they warm up before service on a pan, out of the pan by naked hand π
It’s alL very sad that most fold is Italian or Asian and not actually Maltese .

Some time ago, i was walking by the kitchen of a famous restaurant in Valletta. Kitchen is on the road at the back. They had pigeons flying into the kitchen… (The restaurant had a Michelin plate in recent years)

No Timpana? No Pastizzi?
American here who spent a lovely long weekend in Malta. The traditional food is amazing, and I absolutely gorged on the above.
I found the “fine-dining” places to be overpriced and mediocre, though.

I think literally all of those are not Maltese food. More like tourist authority advertising we got good food and just feeding them their own foreign stuff. Probably cuz no one foreign would choose to have a qarabaghli mimli vs something they are familiar with.
