      They’re expecting us to close out spacecraft programs in 90 days? These contracts have multiyear closeout processes.

      Russell Vought is the chief author of Project 2025 and a hyper-evangelical Christian dominionist. He believes that doing science is against Christian doctrine and has openly stated that he believes we need to stop doing it in order to make America a Christian theocracy.       Well done MAGA, I hope all this was worth it for you.. Specifically all those of you who live on the Space Coast and depend on jobs from NASA/Contractors because there isn’t anything else there but govt contractors. It’s gonna be fun seeing how you guys pay for all those $500k homes on FL’s $14 min wage now that your contracts just ended…

      For those that don’t understand.. The Space Coast is Brevard country, I grew up there. Brevard country turned massively Red over Trump, in fact the most arrests of J6 people came from Brevard county..

      The irony is there is ZERO good jobs in Brevard county except Govt & contractors or other businesses that service them.. The entire place is dead with out Nasa jobs and jobs from contractors that support Nasa.

      I believe at one point it had the 2nd highest amount of govt contractors in the nation. Not sure where it places these days. They called it Silicon Beach due to all the govt tech related jobs.

      what’s the end game here for the white house? i don’t think it’s about redirecting the nasa budget elsewhere; it can’t pettiness or anti anti-science movement; that would be too dumb even for them.

      halt the nasa to let space x (or other private companies) win contracts and then the white house get its share of the pie? let the russian space agency or chinese space agency get ahead?

      really what’s the end game of the white house when it comes to nasa?

      Everyone who voted for Trump because Elon said it would benefit spaceflight, those people are pretty fucking silent right now. Traitorous morons through and through. The coup was successful and MAGA is destroying the bedrock of nation. We may never be able to rebuild what’s being ruined, and I will never forgive the cretins who support him.

      Every time I see a new article about this administration, it always ends with me feeling defeated. I mean Jesus man, they’re trying to get rid of literally everything. I can post and protest all I want but hit after hit is getting demoralizing
