The Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball Team went 2-3 in games played this past weekend at Billings.

Head Coach Austin Cowen says the players are still looking for the consistency that they had back in early June, when they won the Rapid City tournament.

He adds the stretch run of the schedule is now here and it’s time to step things up another notch.

The Troopers play at home tomorrow in a conference double-header vs. Jackson beginning at 5pm.

On Saturday, the team hosts Cody starting at 1pm, and then on Monday, it’s another conference DH as Laramie comes to town, starting at 3pm.

Wyoming HS Softball: The sport has been in Wyoming for 5 years, but it’s hard to gauge where the state stands vs. other states in terms of competition.

During the spring, there’s been little to no competition vs. out of state opponents.

Sheridan Head Coach Kristen Czaban says it’s hard to say if and when that will happen.

South Dakota is currently the only state in the US that does not have varsity high school softball.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost last night at home vs. Houston 6-5.

Hunter Goodman hit 2 solo shots to help the cause, but it was not enough.

Game 2 of the 3 game series is today starting at 6:40pm.
