The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Greece fell to 7.9% in May 2025, from a downwardly revised 8.3% in the previous month.
This marked the lowest reading since November 2008, as the number of unemployed individuals dropped by 19.3 thousand from a month earlier to 370.4 thousand.
Meanwhile, employment rose by 30.3 thousand month-on-month to 4.35 million in May.
Additionally, the number of people outside the labour force decreased by 13.4 thousand to 3.036 million.
