  1. These days they proscribe you just for working in a cell based structure, ram raiding businesses then causing serious injuries to a police officer with sledgehammers, and disabling military planes.

Haven’t people heard of a little thing called protest. Literally 1984.

  2. Thought for the day: even Just Stop Oil weren’t daft enough to attack the armed forces of the UK.

Holy shit I can’t believe they don’t let you commit acts of terrorism on UK soil anymore as a protest. The absolute state of this country!

The suffragettes would be a prescribed group under current laws. People gloating about this happening don’t care what effect it will have on the ability to actually discuss issues in the country.

Charge them with criminal damage, charge them with assault, charge them with any of the actual crimes they’ve committed but proscribing a group makes any public speech in support of them a criminal offence. It is insane and abysmal and those cheering it on are fools.

No mercy for terrorists. These criminals are clearly funded and motivated by hostile foreign actors and have committed great crimes against this country.

All those who support them must be investigated

this is by far the least violent group, with the most mainstream goals and ideological beliefs, to have ever been proscribed in the UK. people are free to support this and believe it to be proportionate, but at the very least you can’t deny that this represents a significant departure from previous british state policy and a clearly authoritarian response

  7. This is incredibly disproportionate, they are direct action activists and individuals who commit criminal acts (like at Brize Norton) should be dealt with through the law, but there is no way they’re terrorists and no way they should be subject to a banning order that puts them on a par with Hamas or IS.

I’m not at all supporting the actions they’ve taken but this is clearly a reaction because it’s support for Israel they’re targeting. Not too long ago Russian-backed saboteurs attempted to sabotage things on an RAF base, their group isn’t facing terrorism charges.
