Grow up, go get a hamburger.
Cant get the help these days.
Same happened here. Different crop. Turns out farmer was in hospital. Son was taking care of him.
Price dropped so much its not worth harvesting.
And before you say, why didn’t they harvest and give them to someone, harvesting for nothing is a waste of time and expenses, and it will all go back to the soil later on for a future crop.
Also they are not edible at this time. If you cut and try to eat one of those its too tough and bleugh.
Also this is a process for the field to get its nutrients back its a crop cycle.

Not all the crop is harvested for selling – some of it is left to dry to retain the seeds for next season’s planting

OMG I love artichokes. I wish that was my backyard
