Glad to see the EVIL T-Mobile building is still going strong AND the Pepsi sign on the peak of the motorway leaving Prilep on the route back to Skopje. Was quite pleased it hasn’t been removed.

Kokino observatory was breathtaking, especially as it was thundering and pouring down when I was up there.

Matka Canyon was great to see, lovely swimming in the river downstream from the dam too.

Big shout out to Dude Speciality coffee!!!! Apostle Guslarot 16, Skopje 1000

Absolutely love visiting Macedonia for the people alone, so many cool people to chat to. Nearly everyone gives a honest take on the situation the country is in and isnt embarrassed to explain the stranger aspects or the reality of corruption/lack of funding leading to, for example, archeological sites being abandoned.

Did have some funny scam and misleading interactions with AirBNBs in Ohrid but nothing unique to Macedonia.

Im now here for another week and just gonna chill around Skopje, anywhere you’d recommend seeing? Anywhere to avoid? What do you like, what do you dislike?

I love running down by the river and using the exercise structures, wonderful down there in the evening.

Fuck parking fr its a nightmare

There’s a music festival this weekend in Shtip. You could also visit Veles and its lake, Kratovo is small and charming, Mavrovo obviously, there’s currently a forest prohibition so you can’t go to any forests I think? But Pelister and Bitola are also nice.

You can go to Shtip on July 6th at D-Fest and see The Sisters of Mercy live on stage, I think they’re from the UK too 😁

Hi bud. Welcome to my wonderful country. So tell me, how bad is it in the UK? Any cities left where native British are a majority?
