Bookmakers should be taxed to the hilt. They make disgusting amounts of money and cause huge amounts of pain and distress.
Edit: and those taxes should fund the charities and a lot more besides. (I meant to say)

These gambling addictions charities set up by the gambling companies are like the ‘responsible gambling’ adverts they put out on TV. It’s just a sop to keep doing what they are doing and avoid demands for greater external regulation and control.
This, in the same week we hear theres a push want to make it easier to use bank cards in gambling machines.
They obviously want to fleece people dry without a care for the social impacts, beyond that which makes them look bad. And there are enough politicians involved their pockets that little will be done about this blight. So fill the high street with gambling shop and arcades, the TV chock full of adverts for online gambling, have your phone spammed with adverts for websites and apps.
