> The change would require at least ten Premier League matches every season to be broadcast on free-to-air television channels, such as the BBC or ITV
Burnley vs Palace on a Monday evening then?

Why the Gov doesn’t force the Prem to become its own monopoly distributor in the UK (like F1TV) selling all 380 games a season is beyond me

The coliseum was free to Roman citizens to distract them from actual important matters.
Nothing has changed in 2000 years.

I hope so. My partner and I cut back to one subscription (Sky) last season and I sail the seas for the rest. However Virgin media keep wielding their ban hammer so I use a VPN to put me in the UK and get around their arbitrary system.
I dont mind paying, but Im not paying for multiple services when I can get it all for free.

as someone who doesn’t give a fuck about football, this sounds like a good thing to get people away from piracy and improving the enjoyment of people who want to watch this in pubs

It should go further we should make it so one game every gw is guaranteed to be free to air, so 38 games a season in the Premier League.

I don’t what thew Government anywhere near sports, they have enough trouble as it is.
If they really are intent on doing something then kicking out the old farts at the FA and stop it from being an old men’s club would be a good start because at it is , the FA are about as usual as a condom machine at the Vatican.

Glad to see they’re getting to grips with the hard hitting issues facing the county!

Is this genuinely a priority for the governance of the country? If so, the sooner Putin nukes us the fucking better.

I’d rather they do this for Test cricket and possibly rugby, football is popular enough to not need the casual public exposure but other sports aren’t.
