These stats only reflect reported crimes. In some regions, many crimes may go unreported, maybe because people don’t trust law enforcement or because issues are handled privately by themselves, without legal/external involvement.

So keep in mind that lower numbers on this map don’t necessarily mean safer areas, they could just reflect differences in reporting behaviour
