According to Politico Pro, “when asked Wednesday if a scheduled Senate markup of the White House’s NASA bill would restore science spending, Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kansas) replied, “The answer is yes.”

This is really surprising but great news to hear!
I will believe it when I see it. At present I am convinced the mission of every Republican in Congress is to blast us back to the Stone Age.
Doesn’t mean the appropriations bill has even the slightest chance of being enacted into law. We’ll have a long, long CR and probably a side of impoundment while Congress fades further into irrelevance
The CJS top line from the impromptu subcommittee appropriations meeting tonight had NASA+NSF at FY24 levels. Together the two agencies were 11 billion above the OMB request. The breakdown by category has not been published/leaked yet.
We shall see. I don’t have much faith in this admin for anything
