      My new way of dealing with these people is to just tell them that even if they’re right, we’re at the mercy of the energy futures market. Solar, wind and hydroelectric power isn’t going to spike in price because a dictator decides to invade somewhere.

      You gotta recontextualise this stuff into how it directly impacts them.

      You have to have had your head buried in bloody concrete not to notice the shift in weather patterns over the decades. Doing the local paper round in the 90s was a bloody miserable affair once you hit October/November time. It was a cold, wet time of the year, which is something you really can’t say about British Autumns anymore.

      You seriously should have to answer a few very basic, non-partisan questions if you want to hold office in the UK.

      The very least I expect from an elected official is for them to be educated and passionate about improving where they live, be that a village or the whole planet.

      We’ve been poisoning the planet for centuries and the Industrial Revolution has moved across the planet. We fly more and further we sail more and further. Every generation has different views on the damage done we need to stop blaming others as a distraction from doing what needs to be done to clean up our environment.
